I want to inform every MERCER I have ambitions of planning a Mercer get-together for sometime in the future. The reason behind my want is simple; I wanted to meet other Mercers and assist those of us tracking the Mercer family history and genealogy.
The event would be a
one or two-day jamboree! I'll ask you to help me get the word out
and let other family members know. Early August will
be the best tentative month. The first of August is often cool and
perfect timing so the whole family can make the journey. I suguest Truman
Lake! It is a great place to vacation and central to the country. No reason to plan anything if no one will show up!
I want my kids to know who their
ancestors are and I ask you to help me teach them! I take pride
in being a Mercer and I can't wait to speak
with you about what you know about the Mercer Family! If we
have it please bring your photo albums, genealogy records and
whatever else you have referring to the Mercer Surname. Having
a Mercer Jamboree will be a great way to meet Mercers you may
never meet and have a strong chance to fill in some of the gaps
on your own mercer family tree. You may even make a new friend! We are all related somewhere
and somehow! Please consider going to Warsaw, Missouri in the
near future!!! Think long and hard and email
me. Let me know I can count on you! I will be sending updates
periodically to inform and update you. If
you wish to be added to my contact list just fill out the form.
Talk with your Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and see if they would
like to take advantage of a great Mercer genealogy opportunity? I am insistent on the older
generation of Mercers being present. They are the ones with the
most Mercer knowledge! I ask your help in building the largest
Mercer genealogy resource online. Please
send me your family history by email. Include full names,
birth dates, counties/state of birth, children's DOB and county/state
and birthing hospital. Wedding vow dates would be nice too! If you have records in MS Word or Adobe Acrobat reader attach those to an email! If
you have other forms of information please pass it along. Snail
mail me copies of photos, birth certificates, family trees
and what ever your willing to send me. Contact me if you have suggestions
on how or what we should do when we're together. Email all of
your known family members and have them contact
me. They won't want to miss being included
in future emailings. Tell them to email
me and be added to my Mercer email database. I am looking forward to hearing
from you and excited at the possibilities the jamboree will create
